Yet to be determined. I like tomatoes a lot. Enjoy the leafy greens. I’m still learning and I’m looking forward to trying new veggies this year..... cauliflower. Swiss chard, peppers, and snap peas to name a few.
Spring: Lettuce mix and Snap Peas.
Summer: Tomatoes, Peppers, Swiss Chard, and Eggplant
Fall: Winter Squash, Cauliflower, Beets, and a variety of herbs.
Microfarming has become increasingly important to grow and offer high-quality produce to communities which are more geographically connected to that food. There are significant positive environmental and nutritional impacts made through the microfarm model. I am also able to restore soils to a much healthier state by using the sustainable practices afforded through microfarming. I enjoy clean eating and I am proud to be able to participate in a venture that offers nutritionally superior food to those around me.
I responded to an ad put out by RGO several years ago that popped up in my email feed offering a gathering of anyone interested in learning more about sustainable farming.... or something like that. Little did I know, that was the first step towards a life-changing journey!
I have benefitted from collaborating with RGO in many ways. Certainly as a practical matter, RGO has substantially helped with marketing the produce I grow. However, the benefits go much deeper. Working with RGO has helped me feel so much more connected with my community. I have the opportunity to create an important legacy for the people here as well as for my friends and family. It really is my chance to “pay it forward.”
